Second Man Arrested in Synovus, Pak Mail Robberies

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Jason Maxwell, 26, 2019 La Salle Street, Sarasota, for being an and .

A witness directed detectives to Maxwell’s home after seeing someone fitting the description of the suspect run from the rear of the bank to the house, which is nearby, according to the sheriff's office.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence, where they found evidence from both robberies, according to the sheriff's office. Maxwell agreed to speak detectives and admitted assisting , according to the sheriff's office.

Maxwell turned himself in Tuesday morning and has been charged with one count each of accessory to robbery with a firearm and accessory to attempted robbery with a firearm, according to the sheriff's office.
