Sheriff's Office: Can You Identify These Check Fraud Suspects?
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify a man who deposited a fraudulent check at a SunTrust bank in Sarasota.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public’s help to identify a man who deposited a fraudulent check at the bank on 6501 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
Surveillance cameras captured images of a man depositing the check on July 20, according to the sheriff's office.
The check was originally made out to the victim’s landlord, but when the check was presented at the bank it was made payable to someone else, and the victim’s signature had been forged.

Anyone with information on the man in these photos is asked to call Criminal Investigations at 941-861-4922. Callers can also leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 941-366-TIPS (8477), or online at www.sarasotacrimestoppers.com or via text message by texting TIP109 plus a message to CRIMES (274637).
