Sheriff's Office Looking for SUV That Killed Man
A 33-year-old man is dead after a SUV hit him during an altercation in southern Sarasota, and the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is searching for the vehicle.

UPDATE: Florida Highway Patrol has released more details about the SUV involved in the fatal hit-and-run crash. Highway Patrol is looking for a 2002 Ford Explorer with Florida tags SBU975.
EARLIER: A 33-year-old man is dead after a SUV hit him during an altercation, and the is searching for the vehicle.
Investigators say Joseph J. D'ambrosio of 1974 Debbie St. was hit by a small white SUV on the 1800 block of Debbie St. around 9:28 p.m. Saturday.

He had suffered serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to Blake Memorial Hospital where he died shortly after arriving.
The sheriff's office is investigating the circumstances of the death, and witnesses told the sheriff's office that several Hispanic and black men were inside the SUV.
