Sheriff's Office Investigates Shots Fired In Gulf Gate
Nobody was struck by the bullets fired from the gun, but a woman was struck by the gun during the argument, according to the sheriff's office.

Investigators are interviewing a suspect involved in a Friday night incident in Gulf Gate where shots were fired and a woman was pistol whipped.
Sarasota County Sheriff's deputies responded at 10:45 p.m. Friday to the 6600 block of Avenue A for a shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found two victims — a 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman — who had an argument with a male suspect, according to the sheriff's office. During the argument the woman was battered with the suspect's handgun, according to the sheriff's office, and an undetermined amount of rounds were fired toward both victims, but nobody was shot, according to the sheriff's office.

The woman required medical treatment for minor injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
