Steube told the Bradenton Herald:

"I’ve been getting feedback from principals all over the state about how strongly they support an initiative like this."

The bill is drawing mixed reviews from parents and school boards, according to the Bradenton Herald.

Wayne Blanton, who directs the Florida School Boards Association, said the law would place a "huge" liability on school systems and "sends the wrong message" to students.
