St Patrick's Day 2019: Where To Find The Green In Sarasota
St. Patrick's Day is the one day of the year when we instinctively reach for green beer and comically put an "O" in front of our names.

SARASOTA, FL -- It's the one day of the year when we instinctively reach for green beer, when we comically put an "O" in front of our names and when we unabashedly insist that we have what it takes to be in "Riverdance."
St. Patrick's Day 2019 is upon us and there's no shortage of celebrations around the Sarasota area to be wearing the green this weekend.
There's still time to send us your events for this weekend. We'll do our best to include them in Patch's roundup of Sarasota area happenings that are sure to keep you humming "Danny Boy" until Monday:

Mattison’s will be serving a traditional St. Patrick’s Day dinner at all three locations on both Saturday and Sunday. The holiday special will feature one of their most popular items: Niman Ranch House Cured Corned Beef Brisket, accompanied by braised cabbage, carrots, local potatoes, horseradish cream and whole grain mustard sauce. Niman Ranch beef is hormone, antibiotic and additive free, humanely processed and harvested. The Niman Ranch way makes a huge difference in the quality and taste of the meat. Drinks will also be themed to the day but don’t expect green beer. Mattison’s makes most everything from scratch and in-house and doesn’t add any dyes or unnecessary additives to its menu items. Each location will create its own St. Patrick’s Day themed drinks, including traditional favorites, frozen concoctions and creative cocktails. If beer is more your style enjoy one of many local craft beer choices. Mattison’s City Grille, Downtown Sarasota and Mattison’s Riverwalk Grille, Downtown Bradenton will also be serving brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
