Watch Replay: Hillary Clinton Rally in Daytona Beach, Florida
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton took the stage in Daytona Beach Saturday afternoon.

DAYTONA BEACH, FL — A fresh email-related bombshell isn’t stopping Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton from stumping for more votes in the Sunshine State. She took the stage in Daytona Beach Saturday afternoon for a canvass kickoff rally before joining singer Jennifer Lopez for a “Get Out the Vote” performance at Miami’s Bayfront Park Amphitheater.
Clinton’s campaign was rocked on Friday when FBI director James Comey announced his agency is investigating new information found in an unrelated case that pertains to Clinton’s email use. The unrelated case was later reported to involve the FBI’s probe into former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner’s sexting scandal. Weiner’s estranged wife, Huma Abedin, is a long-time Clinton aide and confidant.
Comey noted in a Friday letter to members of Congress that officials did not know whether the information was significant or how long it would take to complete the investigation into the newly discovered emails.

The veracity of the FBI’s initial probe into Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state has been called into question. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a friend of Hillary and Bill Clinton, had funneled thousands of dollars into the state Senate campaign of Jill McCabe, the wife of FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe. The deputy director was responsible for providing oversight on the investigation related to Hillary Clinton’s possible mishandling of classified information on her email server.
Comey announced in July that his agency was recommending no criminal charges against Clinton. The FBI found no clear evidence of intention to violate laws related to the handing of classified information, Comey said. Even so, “there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.”

Despite Friday's fresh bombshell, Clinton maintained a 4.6 percentage point lead in national polling over Republican nominee Donald Trump Saturday, according to RealClear Politics. That number was down from Friday’s 5.2 percentage point lead. Clinton’s lead in Florida has plummeted over the past few days. On Saturday, RealClear Politics gave her a 0.4 percent lead over Trump, down from 1.6 percent on Friday.
Trump has also been bombarded with scandals over the past few weeks. His numbers in national polls dropped sharply following the three presidential debates and the release of a video that showed him making lewd comments about women. Although the video was about a decade old, the New York businessman has also been fending off allegations from women who say he touched them inappropriately.
Clinton took the stage at Daytona Beach’s John H. Dickerson Community Center at 4:15 p.m. before heading to the Miami show. Watch the Daytona Beach rally below:
