Sarasota Patch will be at the City Commission Meeting today where they are tackling many issues,, which states that the city will take a stand against a proposed state immigration bill. The compact says it is the federal government's responsibility to handle immigration and that the state should focus more on state issues.

HuB Sarasota will be making a presentation in the evening session about proposing a "creative park" in the Rosemary District. Rich Swier Jr. will be making the presentation about what the park can include such as visual art, theater, music, education and athletics.

On Tuesday, the Downtown Improvement District will go a step further in its discussions about wayfinding kiosks in downtown Sarasota. In its last meeting the group wanted the sign to be for mobile apps.

Monday evening, the City Commission will discuss a proposed design and construction for the Bayfront Connectivity Plan from 10th to 14th on US 41 including the roundabouts at both 10th and 14th streets.
