Wisconsin Woman Killed In Weekend Motorcycle Crash

A 54-year-old Wisconsin woman was killed over the weekend when she lost control of her Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

SARASOTA, FL — A 54-year-old Wisconsin woman was killed over the weekend when she lost control of her Harley-Davidson motorcycle at Crestwood Road east of Pine Street. The crash happened at 11:36 on Saturday night.

Sgt. Patrick J. Roberts of the Florida Highway Patrol said that the woman's name was being withheld pending the notification of her next of kin. She was from Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

The woman was heading east on Crestwood Road when she lost control of the motorcycle on a curve and crashed into a discarded sofa along the side of the road.

Roberts said the woman was thrown from the motorcycle. She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the results of an alcohol test were pending.
