Woman Robbed At Bank Of America ATM

Late Wednesday night, a man approached a woman at the Fruitville Road Bank of America demanding money from her.

Sarasota police have released surveillance photos of a man they say robbed a woman at a Bank of America ATM Wednesday in hopes you could identify him.

A woman told the that a man walked up behind her at the Fruitville Road just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, and the man demanded money from her and implied he had a gun, police said, though no weapon is visible in the photos.

The victim withdrew money and handed it to the suspect, police said.

The man then ran northbound from the parking lot of the bank, police said, and was not able to be found following a search by police.

The man is described as a white male, thin build, approximately 30 years of age, with a light beard. He wore a dark colored clothing and a white baseball cap.
