Tim Hortons Eyeing Two Bradenton-Area Locations

Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons is planning two Manatee County locations as it eyes an expansion into Florida, according to multiple reports.

The company filed preliminary paperwork with Manatee County for a 1,700-square-foot Tim Hortons in Ellenton last fall, the Bradenton Herald reported in November.

Now, the chain has filed a new application with the county to build a second 1,611-square-foot storefront at 7935 State Road 64 E., the Herald said. This would be located just east of the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour.

Yoder’s Pie Craft Coffee Company Planned

Yoder’s Restaurant & Amish Village will open an offshoot, “a small coffee shop,” Yoder’s Pie Craft Coffee Company this month, according to an announcement made on Facebook.

The new coffee and dessert shop comes as Yoder’s celebrates 50 years since it first opened in the Sarasota area.

As part of the plans, Yoder’s will open its own coffee roaster room and will redesign its deli space to open the cafe.

While the renovation and rebuild is underway, coffee and new Yoder’s mini pies will be served out of a food trailer in the former produce area.

Old Salty Dog Reopening After Hurricanes

Old Salty Dog, a waterfront restaurant on City Island in Sarasota, is reopening this month after sustaining damage from hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune said.

The company’s original location on Siesta Key and another eatery on Venice Island have both already reopened.

S.O.B. Burgers Will Be On “America’s Best Restaurants Roadshow”

S.O.B. Burgers in Bradenton will appear on the Feb. 20 of “America’s Best Restaurants Roadshow,” a popular YouTube channel, the Bradenton Times reported.

The show will highlight popular dishes and share the made-from-scratch burger restaurant’s story.

Texas Roadhouse Headed to Parrish

A second Texas Roadhouse is planned for Manatee County with a location in Parrish planned, the Bradenton Herald reported.

The restaurant will move into commercial space in the Seaire community, just east of Interstate 75 and south of Moccasin Wallow Road.

Other restaurants planned in the development include Glory Days, Slim Chickens and Wendy’s.
