26-Year-Old Man Dies in Tampa Motorcycle Crash
A motorcycle rider died Thursday evening after losing control of his 2006 Yamaha and striking the front of a vehicle.

TAMPA, FL - A motorcycle rider died Thursday evening after losing control of his 2006 Yamaha and striking the front of a vehicle that was preparing to turn on Busch Boulevard, police said. The rider was identified by police as Salmane Benjelloun, 26.
Benjelloun was operating his motorcycle headed westbound on Busch Boulevard in the far left lane. Remi Nicole Calderoni, 20, was operating a 2017 Ford Fusion headed eastbound on Busch Boulevard. Calderoni stopped in the northbound turn lane with a small portion of her vehicle in the westbound lane. Benjelloun lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected, police said. He struck the lower front of the Ford Fusion and was trapped beneath the vehicle. Benjelloun died of his injuries.
No charges have been filed, police said.
