Community Gathering Thursday to Bless Holiday Tent

The tent is from Metropolitan Ministries.

This just in from Metropolitan Ministries:

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn and other community leaders are coming together Thursday afternoon to bless Metropolitan Ministries’ Holiday Assistance efforts at the new holiday tent location at 400 W. Palm Avenue.

As the Ministries prepares to serve 25,900 homeless and struggling Tampa area families in the next two months, this uplifting event will include music, prayer and fellowship for people of all faiths.  More than 10,000 volunteers will serve poor and homeless families at the site, and thousands more local residents will deliver donations of food, toys and funds to make the annual holiday assistance a reality.
