Walmart Store Welcomed by Some Residents
Some residents see this strip of their neighborhood as getting a much-needed economic boost, if Walmart moves in. They also like the shopping convenience.

Some residents of Seminole Heights say they are looking at the positive contributions a Walmart Supercenter would make to their neighborhood, reports the Tampa Bay Times.
The retail giant is considering a supercenter development at 1720 East Hillsborough Ave., the site of a former Chevrolet dealer.

The Tampa Bay Times is reporting that some neighbors consider the development as a boost for the neighborhood.
Tina Rodriguez, a 12-year resident, told The Tampa Bay Times:

"I'm sure they'd do a better job of keeping the area up."
Walmart spokesman Bill Wertz told the Tampa Bay Times that the retailer is in initial talks with the city about plans for a 120,000-square-foot store.
The retailer has not bought the site yet, but it did just win city approval to build two driveways on 19th Street to access the location.
Wertz told the Tampa Bay Times:
"When Walmart builds a new store, it offers job opportunities and groceries and other affordable goods," Wertz said. "It improves the economic situation."
