1 Dead, 1 Injured In Tampa House Fire
The injured woman was found outside the house after a neighbor pulled her away from the flames, firefighters said.

TAMPA, FL - One person died and a woman was injured in a house fire Sunday afternoon at 2211 E 28th Ave., according to Tampa Fire Rescue. The injured woman was found outside the house after a neighbor pulled her away from the flames, firefighters said. She was taken to Tampa General as a trauma alert. Her current condition is unknown. Another woman managed to escape the blaze.
Firefighters found the single-story masonry brick structure engulfed in flames when they arrived at 3:06 p.m. Firefighters had the fire under control after about an hour.
The Arson Task Force was notified, which is standard protocol whenever there is a fatality at a fire scene. The task force will investigate to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Tampa Police also are investigating the residential fire.
