Driver Dead After Being Thrown From Truck In I-75 Crash: FL Highway Patrol
A man driving a pickup truck died after being thrown from his vehicle in an early morning crash on Interstate 75, FL Highway Patrol said.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A 20-year-old man was killed in an early Tuesday morning crash on Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The man, whose hometown is unknown, was driving his Chevy Avalanche north in the highway’s center lane around 1:30 a.m.
At the same time, a 44-year-old Riverview woman was driving a Ford Edge north in I-75’s outside lane.

The pickup truck’s driver entered the outside lane and hit the SUV near mile marker 241, FHP said.
After the crash, both vehicles entered the outside shoulder.
The truck overturned before hitting a tree. As it overturned, the driver was thrown from the truck, FHP said. He died at the scene.

The SUV driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
