TAMPA, FL — A 31-year-old Tampa man is dead following a Monday night shooting that also left another man injured.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were tipped off about shots fired just before 9 p.m. in the 2100 block of 136st Avenue East. About a minute later, they received a report about a man in an apartment in the 13600 block of 21st Street suffering from gunshot wounds.

When deputies arrived at the apartment, they found Matthew Wissmann dead, an email from the agency said. A second victim, Carlos M. Taylor, 33, was also identified. Taylor was taken to Tampa General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the email said.

Deputies say the shooting is possibly drug related.
