10 Cars Damaged In Fire At Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Parking Garage: Officials
At least 10 cars were damaged in a fire at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay parking garage, Tampa Fire Rescue said.

TAMPA, FL — Ten vehicles saw “significant damage” and others had cosmetic damages in a Monday night parking garage fire at Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay at 2900 Bayport Drive, Tampa Fire Rescue wrote in a social media post.
Firefighters responded to the second floor of the garage just before 1 p.m. and found a heavy column of black smoke and a rapidly spreading fire.
Crews initially went in to battle the blaze but left the garage because of conditions and transitioned to a defensive fire attack, fire officials said.

Additional units came to the scene as fire crews standpipes and an aerial ladder to fight the fire.
The fire was contained to the second floor and was under control within an hour, TFR said.

A structural engineer was called to evaluate the structural integrity of the parking garage.
There were no reported injuries in the fire, which is under investigation.
