2 Arrested in 2 Ybor City Armed Robberies
Breaking: Tampa Police say a Tampa juvenile and a Brandon adult have been charged in two Ybor City armed robbery cases.

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department is investigating two armed robberies that occurred early Monday morning near Ybor City. Two arrests, the agency reports, have been made.
According to police, victims in both robberies reported similar attacks. The victims, police say, were on foot when they were approached by two suspects. In both cases, the robbers demanded the victims’ property and then shot their guns into the air near the victims.
“In one case, a victim was pistol-whipped and sustained minor injuries,” an email from police said. “No one was shot in either incident.”

Police say they located and arrested two suspects. Both males, police noted, were armed.
Police are not releasing information about the suspects at this time other than to say one is a juvenile from Tampa and the other an adult male from Brandon.
