3-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Grand Hyatt Hotel In Tampa
Nine people were taken to the hospital Friday with minor injuries after a fire broke out at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay hotel.
TAMPA, FL — Nine people were taken to the hospital Friday with minor injuries after a fire broke out at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay hotel, 2900 Bayport Drive, Tampa.
Tampa Fire Rescue crews were called to the hotel at 6:25 a.m. and found smoke on the 11th floor.
Due to the number of guests staying at the hotel, Tampa Fire Rescue sounded a third alarm and quickly evacuated the hotel.

Crews were able to contain the fire in about 30 minutes.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
