3 Shot, 1 Fatally Gunned Down Over New Year's In Tampa: Reports

A security guard was wounded, a teen was shot downtown, and then a man mortally wounded outside a bar, WFLA.com reported.

TAMPA, FL — A man was shot to death, a teen girl hurt, and a security guard wounded in three separate shootings within hours in Tampa over the New Year’s holiday, WFLA.com reported.

Tampa police patrolling the downtown area just after 1 a.m. as part of their New Year’s Eve Operation found the girl, who is in her mid-teens, near North Tampa Street and East Cass Street, The Tampa Bay Times reported.

She was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the outlet.

At about 1:43 a.m., a man was shot outside of Tally Ho Bar & Grill, and later died, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office told WFLA.com.

At around 10:45 p.m. on New Year's Eve, a security guard trying to move people out of Curtis Hixon Park was also shot, but is now in stable condition, the outlet reported.
