5 Gang Members Arrested In Hillsborough Sheriff's Takedown

The sheriff's office targeted known gang areas in Hillsborough County and arrested five gang members.

TAMPA, FL — Five gang members have been arrested following a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office gang enforcement operation.

The sheriff's office targeted known gang areas in Hillsborough County and arrested five gang members of the Palm River Boys gang, the 32nd Street Bloods gang, the Aryan Brotherhood gang and the Rose gang/CBG gang.

"The relentless pursuit of those who commit violent crimes or victimize neighborhoods is vital to the safety and well-being of our community," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Targeting and arresting dangerous gang members is not only a duty but a necessity for our deputies to protect and serve the community they are sworn to safeguard."

In addition to the five gang members arrested, five other unrelated arrests were made throughout the operation, resulting in a total of 21 felony charges.

Since its creation, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Gang Unit has taken a proactive approach to deter gang activity by researching, identifying and documenting gangs and their members.
