ACE Program Introduces New Tracks: Claims Adjuster, Green Construction

TAMPA, FL —

CareerSource Tampa Bay announced that, through its continued partnership with Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, the ACE Program has launched two new tracks for candidates to participate in March.

  • Accredited Claims Adjuster / Registered Customer Service Representative
  • Green Construction

The Accredited Claims Adjuster Course / Registered Customer Service Representative will exempt students from the state exam for the 6-20 All Lines Adjuster License. The Florida Department of Financial Services approves this course in Financial Services for those who wish to obtain the State of Florida 6-20 (Company & Independent) All Lines Adjuster License.

The Green Construction Track prepares students to understand the concepts surrounding Construction and industry standards. A participant can earn the below industry certifications:

  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Forklift Operation Certification
  • NCCER Core Curriculum

Cohorts start dates:

  • Green Construction will begin on March 20
  • Accredited Claims Adjuster Course will start on March 30
  • ACE is also offering the Cyber Security cohort, which will start on March 29

Young adults ages 18 to 29 interested in enrolling or learning more can attend an ACE information session or complete a pre-screen survey at www.CareerSourceTB.com/ACE.

Information Sessions are hosted weekly at the CSTB Tampa Center at 9215 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, on:

  • Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

“Local employers are seeking accredited claims adjusters and entry-level construction personnel to assist them with claims evaluation, investigation, negotiation, customer service and forklift operation, safety protocol, and basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry," said April Torregiante, CSTB vice president of policy and programs. “There is a need to fill these types of positions in the community, and salaries range from $18 to $31 per hour."

To start the registration and enrollment process for the ACE Training program, applicants will need to complete the ACE registration and pre-screen at www.CareerSourceTB.com/ACE fully.
