Devy's Crochet is a new shop on Etsy based in Tampa, Florida run by Deborah Saunders. Deborah is a first-time business owner and started to make crochet items during the pandemic as a fun and creative outlet. Deborah gifted items to loved ones and friends and then started participating in local initiatives, such as a NICU Awareness Month drive for premature babies at Tampa General Hospital in 2023.

"Handmade goods are different because it is something that takes time to make. Crochet is a labor of love and items available in my store are unique creations that impart the feeling of love," said Deborah Saunders, owner of Devy's Crochet.

Some historians believe that Valentine's Day, celebrated annually in the United States on February 14, has its roots in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, according to Britannica. Although Valentine's Day became more commercialized after the 19th century, the holiday also became more inclusive as Valentine's Day became more common and popular greeting card companies helped spread the love (literally).

Total Valentine's Day spending in 2023 was $25.9 billion dollars in the United States, according to Statista. However, there is no price tag on love and in the end we all just want to remind someone how special they are to us.
