Argument Between 2 Women Turned Deadly: Tampa Police
A woman was stabbed to death when an argument with another woman turned violent, Tampa police said.
TAMPA, FL — A woman was stabbed to death Sunday night in Tampa after an argument with another woman turned physical, authorities said.
When officers responded to the 1500 block of West Chestnut Street just before 10 p.m., they found one of the women, in her mid-30s with a deep cut to her arm, Tampa police said in a news release.
She was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment of her non-life-threatening injury and released.

A second woman, in her early 30s, was brought to a hospital by a private vehicle before officers got to the scene, police said.
She had multiple stab wounds and was in critical condition. While police were investigating, they were told that she had died from her injuries.

Investigators learned that the women knew each other and an argument escalated into a physical altercation between the two, police said.
Detectives are working to confirm what caused the initial argument and the timeline from the evening. Investigators are working with the state attorney’s office to determine what, if any, charges may be filed, police said.
