Beer Truck Overturns Near I-75 Rest Stop: FL Highway Patrol

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A tractor-trailer truck hauling beer overturned on Interstate 75 early Thursday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. in the interstate’s southbound lanes near mile marker 238.

While exiting the highway to enter a rest stop, the driver failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road, FHP said.

The truck overturned and spilled “a large volume of beer along the shoulder,” the agency said.

The driver, a 53-year-old Doral man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was treated at a nearby hospital.
