Bicyclist Died After Being Hit By Semi-Truck In Tampa Area: FL Highway Patrol
A bicyclist was killed after being hit by a semi-trailer truck on U.S. 41, Florida Highway Patrol said.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A 49-year Brandon man was killed after his bicycle was hit by a semi-trailer truck Tuesday evening, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The truck, driven by a 53-year-old Tampa man, was heading north on U.S. 41 around 6:45 p.m.
At the same time, the bicyclist was trying to cross the highway when it entered the path of the truck and was hit by it, FHP said.
