1. A 42-year-old Hillsborough man was taken for a mental evaluation under the Baker Act on Saturday evening. Deputies said he jumped from the second floor of a two-story carousel inside the Brandon mall and shouted indiscernible phrases at frightened shoppers. Deputies were called to the mall just before 7:30 p.m. when multiple 911 callers reported possible gunshots at the Westfield Brandon Mall located at 459 Brandon Town Center Dr. in Brandon. (WFLA)
2. Homeward, a startup by the Austin Realtor Tim Heyl in 2018, announced its expansion into Tampa on May 10. The company joins a growing number of startups in the sphere and offers two programs, including buy before you sell and buy with cash, which has become a competitive advantage for home purchases in Tampa. 3. The Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Florida Panthers 5-1 on Sunday to move to the brink of another trip to the Eastern Conference final. One more victory will send the Bolts to the Eastern Conference final for the sixth time in 8 years. Game 4 is tonight at 7 p.m. (ABC Action News)
4. Several tenants of Tampa's Silver Oaks Apartments met with local attorney Sean Shaw to discuss the possibility of seeking damages from Cambridge Management. Shaw said he is in the beginning stages of investigating claims by some residents who say they have gotten sick from mold growing in their units. (Bay News 9)
5. Ruben "Butch" Delgado, the Tampa assistant police chief, is retiring from the department after 24 years for a job in the private sector, the agency confirmed Friday.
