1. Chairman Orlando Gudes said he will file a motion to step down as chairman, but plans to remain on the city council. His announcement came Thursday as Tampa City Council met for the first time since a report detailing troubling accusations against him went public, including 19 harassment allegations. (Fox 13 Tampa)
2. Tampa city attorneys answered questions about the controversial $108 million "City Center at Hanna Avenue" project to a city council consumed in conflict and controversy on Thursday. City councilmen asked for a discussion about options to reverse the project in February, but attorneys refused to and sent a memo instead. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
3. A 61-year-old former Tampa police officer has been arrested after Tampa police detectives said they found 100 images of child pornography in his homes. Tampa police arrested Paul Mumford Wednesday afternoon and charged him with 100 counts of child pornography. (Tampa Patch)
4. On Wednesday night, Bruce Arians told his coaching staff and players that he is stepping aside as the Buccaneers' head coach and will take on a new role for the team as a senior football consultant. The Buccaneers are promoting defensive coordinator Todd Bowles to head coach. (Tampa Patch)
5. The U.S. Department of Labor is demanding CareerSource Pinellas and CareerSource Tampa Bay repay $4.3 million in taxpayer money that was misspent under the direction of the fired CEO of both organizations. It is unknown how the money will be returned or who will pay for it. (Tampa Bay Times)
