Brutal Ybor City Robbery Prompts Call For Help: Video

The Tampa Police Department is asking for help identifying four people wanted in connection with a violent armed robbery.

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating four people who were involved with a violent Sunday night robbery outside a business in Ybor City.

According to the agency, Dustin Lee Lowe, 24, was at the back door of a business in the 1900 block of Seventh Avenue around 10:20 p.m. Aug. 13 when a man approached him. That man “exchanged words” with Lowe and then punched him, an email from the police department said.

Three other unidentified men reportedly jumped into the fray, battering Lowe, police said. After rending Lowe unconscious, the men are accessed of robbing him.

Police say Lowe was taken to a local hospital after the attack. He suffered injuries that are described as not life-threatening.

Police say no arrests have been made. No suspects have been announced. The agency released surveillance video taken from the crime scene that shows the attack as it was occurring. Anyone who recognizes the men in the video is asked to call the police department at 813-231-6130.
