Bucs Player Leaves $1,000 Tip At Applebees On Christmas Eve

Defensive tackle Sealver Siliga and some friends visited the restaurant on Gandy Boulevard in South Tampa

TAMPA, FL – Despite losing Sunday's game to the Carolina Panthers, a Tampa Bay Bucs player was feeling generous and left a $1,000 tip for the staff at a Applebees restaurant in Tampa on Christmas Eve. Defensive tackle Sealver Siliga and some friends visited the restaurant on Gandy Boulevard in South Tampa after the game.

After the $256.93 bill came for the dinner about 10:30 p.m., Siliga asked the restaurant manager how many people were still working in the restaurant on Christmas Eve "because he wanted to tip every person $100 (from the servers to the dishwashers)," according to TMZ Sports. A photo of the restaurant bill on the TMZ website shows that Siliga added another $1,000 to the bill for a tip.

An Applebees employee said Tuesday that the staff looked up Siliga on the Bucs roster to identify him after he left the restaurant. The Bucs lost the game to the Panthers 22-19 on Sunday.
