Carlos Santana Sets Tampa Tour Stop

Carlos Santana is bringing his Transmogrify Tour to Tampa. Tickets go on sale soon.

TAMPA, FL — Iconic rocker Carlos Santana turns 70 this July, but that’s not stopping him from taking his show on the road. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer intends to make an Oct. 27 stop at Tampa’s Amalie Arena.

Santana’s Transmogrify Tour features songs from the musician’s 40-year career. Fans can expect to hear favorites from the performer's Woodstock days all the way through the more recent release of “Supernatural” and beyond, according to arena officials.

“Delivered with a level of passion and soul equal to the legendary sonic charge of his guitar, the sound of Carlos Santana is one of the world's best-known musical signatures,” arena officials wrote in announcing the show. “For more than four decades, from Santana's earliest days as a groundbreaking Afro-Latin-blues-rock fusion outfit in San Francisco, Carlos has been the visionary force behind artistry that transcends musical genres and generational, cultural and geographical boundaries.”

Tickets for the 8 p.m. Oct. 27 show go on sale Friday, June 16 at 10 a.m. They’ll be available at the McDonald’s Ticket Office at the arena and via Ticketmaster outlets. The prices range from $66.25 to $115.75. Ticket prices do not include facility fees or service charges.
