Carnival Expands Cruises To Cuba From Tampa
Carnival Cruise Line and Port Tampa Bay have announced plans for more Cuba-bound cruises in the coming year.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents with dreams of cruising to Cuba will find more opportunities available in the coming year. Port Tampa Bay and Carnival Cruise Line on Thursday announced the addition of five more trips Cuba on the 2018 schedule.
The newly announced voyages include three five-day cruises to Havana and Cozumel and Key West. They are set to depart on Feb. 17, July 2 and Sept. 5, 2018. A six-day cruise with stops in Havana and Grand Cayman is also planned for departure from Port Tampa Bay on Aug. 26, 2018. The final new addition is an eight-day trip set to depart on Aug. 18, 2018, with stops in Havana, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Each trip, according to Carnival Cruise Line, includes a day-long call and overnight stay in Havana. The eight-day cruise includes two full days in Havana.

“Our cruises to Cuba have been very well received and we’re delighted to provide our guests with additional opportunities to experience and explore this fascinating and sought-after destination,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, said in a statement announcing the voyages.
People who wish to sail to Havana must meet all current U.S. to Cuba travel regulations. The 12 categories of travel allowed include family visits, journalistic activity, professional research, religious activities and educational activities, among others.
