  1. A Tampa man has been arrested after driving drunk and trying to flee the scene of an accident, according to police. The incident happened at 3001 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. at 7:10 p.m. on Monday night. The suspect has been detained and charged by police. (Tampa Patch)
  2. The City of Tampa is now one of the top destinations for New Yorkers looking to relocate. Tampa ranked fifth in the study. The data is based on pageviews taken from Zillow by a company called StreetEasy. (WFLA)
  3. Tampa Mayor Jane Castor found 70 pounds of cocaine on a recent fishing trip to the Florida Keys in South Florida. Castor said she easily recognized the drugs as a former chief of Police with over 30 years of experience. She said she reported the drugs to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. (WTSP)
  4. Former Hillsborough State Attorney Andrew Warren, who was removed from office by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and has fought to restore his title, is receiving honors from the American Bar Association on Friday. Warren is receiving the Curtin-Maleng Minister of Justice Award. The award will be presented on the anniversary of the day the state attorney was removed from office. (Florida Politics)
  5. The Hillsborough County School Board has approved Mark Watson to be principal of Strawberry Crest High School starting Aug. 14. Watson previously worked as assistant principal at Durant High School. He is replacing Christina Raburn. (Tampa Bay Times)
