  1. Police have arrested one suspect in a recent homicide at the Playhouse Gentleman’s Club in Tampa on Sept. 4, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HSCO). The suspect was charged with felon in possession of a firearm charges. One victim died in the shooting. (Tampa Patch)
  2. Aloft Tampa in downtown Tampa has been acquired by Newbond Holdings for $29.6 million. It was previously sold for $27. 2 million. The New York-based buyer has agreed to purchased and renovate the 130-room hotel. Newbond has purchased three hotels in the Tampa area recently. (Business Observer)
  3. New York City-based concept Champion Pizza is set to replace Ichicoro Ramen in Seminole Heights after the business abruptly shut down months ago. The concept was founded in the Lower East Side in Manhattan, and this will be its first Florida location. No official opening date was provided as of Tuesday evening. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
  4. Undead in the Water is returning Sept. 22 to Tampa on the haunted American Victory Ship located at 615 Channelside Drive. The historic vessel was built in World War II and served in WWII, as well as the Korea and Vietnam wars. Advance tickets are available online. (That's So Tampa)
  5. 90s Con is happening this weekend at Tampa Convention Center from Sept. 15 to 17 in downtown Tampa. Over 15,000 people are expected to attend. The convention will feature the cast from "Boy Meets World" and "Beverly Hills 90210" as well as other shows that were popular in the 90s. Tickets start at $40 for adults and $10 for kids for a single day. (WUSF)
