The Hillsborough County Historical Advisory Council, Forest Hills Neighborhood Association, and the Tampa Sports Authority has unveiled a Babe Zaharias historical marker at the Babe Zaharias Golf Course, located at 11412 N Forest Hills Drive.   2. The new Crisp & Green location located at 1055 E. Cumberland Ave. in Water Street Tampa is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony today at 1:15 p.m. City of Tampa Mayor Jane Castor will attend, along with Mike Lester, Walking Tall Brands, CEO and co-founding partner of Walking Tall Brands, LLC, local franchisee, and Caroline Vostrejs, president, Junior League of Tampa. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public for help identifying a person of interest police said is connected to the murder of a person whose body was found on fire in Ruskin Saturday morning. Surveillance footage captured a suspect who police would like to question. Investigators are still working to identify the body of the victim. (WFLA)
  4. A group of Tampa conservatives are supporting Tampa City Council incumbent Lynn Hurtak against former Sen. Janet Cruz in the runoff race. The Front Line Patriots Fund, which is run by a Republican consultant, recently ran an attack ad against Cruz. The ad focuses on lobbying and asks voters to "send Janet Cruz back into retirement."   5. Ichicoro Ramen, one of Tampa's first ramen shops and a recent Michelin Bib Gourmand award-winner, has closed. The Google listing for the Seminole Heights restaurant now says "permanently closed" for the business. Noel Cruz's other venture, Gangchu Chicken, remains open. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
