1. A band of Ye Mystic Kreme pirates invaded AventHealth Tampa hospital last week. They distributed beads, coloring books, and stuffed parrots to the patients in an effort to bring some Tampa joy to those who could not attend the parade. (Tampa Patch)
2. Police are investigating what lead to the death of a man they said was paddleboarding near Gandy Beach on Saturday afternoon. Neither a paddle board nor tether were found, but deputies said the deceased was wearing a life vest. (WFLA)
3. St. Petersburg artist Louis Markoya is showcasing the exhibit "Louis Markoya: A Deeper Understanding" in the museum at St. Petersburg College in Tarpon Springs. The museum is located at 600 East Klosterman Road and is on display through Sunday, February 6th. (Fox 13 Tampa)
4. A Tampa father said he broke the world record for the fastest mile while pushing a stroller. Friends watched him attempt to beat the record at Coleman Middle School in Tampa. The 35-year-old's official time was 4:52:53, nearly four seconds less than the previous record. (ABC Action News)
5. Dave Bautista has opened his new local tattoo shop called DC Society Ink at 1108 West Kennedy Boulevard near the University of Tampa. The shop currently has a 9 tattoo artists, who are taking appointments online. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
