Deputy Hit Man Who Was Crossing Memorial Highway: FL Highway Patrol
The victim was seriously injured after being hit by a Hillsborough County deputy while crossing Memorial Highway, FL Highway Patrol said.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A man was seriously injured after being hit by a Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputy while crossing Memorial Highway South Tuesday night, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The 30-year-old was crossing the highway just after 9 p.m. when he walked into the path of the deputy, a 26-year-old man driving an SUV, who turned south onto it from Hillsborough Avenue, FHP said.
The deputy stopped and rendered aid to the victim, who suffered serious injuries and was brought to an area hospital.
