FL Deputy’s SUV Turned Into Path Of Motorcyclist, Seriously Injuring 2
A motorcyclist and his passenger were seriously injured after being hit by a deputy's SUV, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
TAMPA, FL — A marked Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputy’s SUV hit a motorcycle early Tuesday morning, seriously injuring the driver and his passenger, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The deputy, a 24-year-old Tampa man, was heading west on County Road 580 when he turned left into the path of a Harley Davidson FXD motorcycle at the intersection of Avenue Club Drive just after 12:30 a.m.
The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old Seffner man, and his passenger, a 20-year-old Arkansas woman, were thrown from the vehicle, FHP said.

They both suffered serious injuries and were brought to a local hospital.
The deputy wasn’t injured in the crash.
