Drier, Hotter Start To The Week: Tampa Bay Weather
Find out what's in store for the Tampa Bay area in the weather department as the workweek gets under way.

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Bay area is in for some ups and downs in the weather department over the workweek ahead. According to the National Weather Service, the week should start out drier and hotter than normal. That is expected to change, however, by about mid-week.
Solar eclipse watchers are likely to find Monday’s updated forecast to their liking. The weather service says a dry air mass is moving into the region that should keep rain chances to a minimum. Partly cloudy skies are forecast throughout the day with a high in the blistering mid-90-degree range. While some drops of rain may fall in parts of the Tampa Bay area, widespread storms are not likely. The heat index is expected to top the 103-mark, so folks should take care when outside on Monday.
