Drugs, Gun, $6.7K In Cash Seized At Tampa Home: Hillsborough Sheriff

TAMPA, FL — Drugs, a gun and thousands of dollars in cash were seized after a search warrant was executed Friday at a Tampa home, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Following an HCSO Gang Unit investigation, members of the SWAT team served the search warrant at the home in the 600 block of River Bay Drive.

During their search, they found:

  • more than 6 pounds of marijuana
  • about 4.5 pounds of cannabis sativa resin
  • about 120 grams of THC edibles
  • more than 80 grams of psychedelic mushrooms
  • about 2 ounces of prescription medication
  • a gun, ammunition and drum magazine
  • about $6,700 in cash

One person, 20-year-old Justino Bueso, was also arrested. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer without violence and possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, HCSO said.

“This is a clear example of how gangs and criminal networks try to quietly operate out of our neighborhoods, stockpiling drugs, weapons, and cash,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “Let this serve as a warning: if you bring this kind of activity into our community, we will find you, and we will hold you accountable. Our residents deserve to feel safe in their homes, not surrounded by criminal enterprises.”
