Estranged Spouse Shoots, Kills Wife In FL Before Turning Gun On Self
An estranged spouse shot and killed their wife Friday night at her Tampa home before turning the gun on themself, the sheriff's office said.
TAMPA, FL — An estranged spouse is suspected of shooting and killing their wife Friday night at a home in Tampa before turning the gun on themself at a separate location, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release
The agency received a call about possible shots fired near the 5300 block of Southwick Drive just after 9:30 p.m.
Deputies found Heidi Berberovic, 58, dead with upper body trauma inside her home, the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives identified the victim's estranged spouse, Jasmin Berberovic, 55, as a suspect.
On Saturday, they found Jasmin dead inside a home on the 5600 block of Tranquility Oaks Drive with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.

"This is a heartbreaking case of domestic violence that has left a family and community mourning," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "Our detectives worked quickly to uncover the truth and locate the suspect. We remain committed to seeking justice for victims and supporting those impacted by these tragic events."
