Fatal Shooting At Tampa Apartment Complex Leads To Man's Arrest

Tampa police officers arrested a 24-year-old man charged with first-degree murder at the Scruggs Manor apartment complex.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police officers with the Fugitive Apprehension Unit have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting at the Scruggs Manor apartment complex at 11201 N 22nd St.

On Sept. 24, around 3:15 a.m., officers responded to the apartment complex and found a man dead of a gunshot wound.

During their investigation, officers interviewed several witnesses who said Terrence Franklin Jr. was involved in an argument with the victim prior to the shooting.

Additional witnesses positively identified Franklin as the shooter.

On Monday, police arrested Franklin and charged him with first-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
