Man Found Shot To Death In FL As Investigators Seek Information

A man was found with a fatal gunshot wound at a Seffner property early Wednesday morning, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

SEFFNER, FL — Deputies are investigating a fatal shooting that took place early Wednesday morning in Seffner, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release.

They responded to reports that a person had been shot in the 100 block of Phillips Drive around 3:15 a.m.

Deputies found a man at the property who had at least one gunshot wound to his upper body, the sheriff’s office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Violence has no place in our neighborhoods, and our detectives are committed to uncovering the full truth of what happened," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "We urge anyone who saw or heard something, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward and contact us."
