Fire Sweeps Through Tampa Repair Shop

A repair shop filled with trucks and trailers was severely damaged after a blaze sweeped through it Thursday.

TAMPA, FL — A repair shop filled with trucks and trailers was severely damaged after a blaze sweeped through it Thursday.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was called to 4104 S 50th St. in Tampa around 4:38 p.m. Engine 1 was the first unit on the scene, confirming a repair shop full of trailers and trucks had visible flames and smoke. After an effective knockdown, a water supply was established from a nearby hydrant and crews attacked the fire from a ladder truck.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
