RUSKIN, FL — A man was arrested for making online threats against an Amazon Fulfillment Center where he formerly worked, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Christopher Colontonio, 29, sent two threatening emails to the Amazon facility in Ruskin after he was fired on Sept. 27, the sheriff’s office said.

He later admitted to sending the messages.Colontonio was arrested on Oct. 1 on one count of written or electronic threat to kill or do bodily injury and one count of written or electronic threat to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism.

"We will not tolerate anyone who tries to intimidate or spread fear in our community," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "This is a clear reminder that words have consequences. If you think you can hide behind a keyboard and threaten the safety of others, you are mistaken. Our detectives will find you, and you will be held accountable."
