Free Back 2 School Bash To Be Hosted By Hillsborough County Fair

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — The first Hillsborough County Fair Back 2 School Bash will be held Saturday, Aug. 12 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds, 215 Sydney Washer Road in Dover.

The Hillsborough County Fair has partnered with the Hillsborough County School District to offer a free community event to help students prepare to return to school.

Sponsored by Acme Barricades, those attending are encouraged to bring donations of school supplies that will be collected in donation bins throughout the event and then delivered to children in need in the community.

The event will include yard games, inflatables, face painting, dodgeball, volleyball, hayrides, inflatables, a dunk tank, a maze, a basket raffle and a cakewalk. There will be local food trucks on hand including Wich Press Food Truck, Billy's Roadside Grill, Eatin' Ain't Cheatin', Smooth Beverages, Two Grandma's Soul Food, Happy Belly Tacos and BBQ, and Smitty's Corn Dogs.

The Hillsborough County School District will offer resources to help kids get ready for the upcoming school season. In addition, there will be local vendors offering services to get children ready for school including 4-H, Future Farmers of America and Scouts.

Additionally, there will be a basket raffle to help raise funds for the school supply drive.
