Free Comic Book Day 2017: Tampa Bay’s Participating Stores

TAMPA, FL — Comic book fans and folks who think they’d like to become fans will want jot down a date on their calendars. Saturday, May 6 is the date that stores throughout the Tampa Bay area and nation plan to take part in Free Comic Book Day.

The May 6 event is the 16th of its kind. The one-day giveaway is meant to introduce newcomers to this distinct style of art and entertainment.

While every retailer signed up for the event may have its own rules about participation, those who visit a shop on the list will receive “at least one free comic” if they “enter a participating shop location,” the event’s website states. Titles may vary by location.

Here are some of the stores in the Tampa Bay area that are taking part in this year’s observance by handing out free comics:
