The Fellowship Delivers Church in partnership with Feeding America will once again take an active role in the term “my brother’s keeper.”
The church will deliver 150 food boxes to the Tampa Housing Authority's Bethune Hi-Rise, 1515 W. Union St., Tampa, July 15 at 11 a.m.
The food boxes will include a variety of items that mimic the well-known food guide pyramid. Inside each box, residents will discover fresh fruits and vegetables in addition to fresh meat. With food insufficiency as a major hurdle for many seniors, efforts taken by those in the community to deliver such quality food boxes, lend a reassuring feeling to all who receive and resounds the sentiment that our seniors have not been forgotten.
