Guns, Watches Valued At $110,000 Recovered, Convicted Felon Arrested
Hillsborough County sheriff's detectives arrested a two-time convicted felon in New Tampa for possession of guns, drugs and stolen watches.
TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested a two-time convicted felon and gang associate in Tampa after he failed to check in as required by probation.
Hillsborough County sheriff's detectives received a tip that Hamzah Samir Othman, 28, was in possession of firearms. They obtained a search warrant for his home at 8018 Fawnridge Circle in New Tampa and recovered:
- Six firearms
- $5,000 in U.S. currency
- An Audemars Piguet watch valued at $60,000
- A Patek Phillipe Nautilus watch valued at $50,000
- A money-counting machine
- 42.1 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $5,000
- 17.1 grams of oxycodone
- Three ecstasy pills (2.2 Grams)
"Ensuring that felons are adhering to the law in Hillsborough County is something we take very seriously," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "I'm proud of our detectives for diligently following up this lead and their commitment to keeping our community safe."

He was charged with:
- Six counts of felon in possession of a firearm
- Armed trafficking in cocaine
- Armed trafficking in oxycodone
- Armed possession of ecstasy
Othman remains in the Falkenburg Road Jail without bail.
